How to connect

How to connect

There are two simple ways to connect to AMS-IX.

Connect directly

You can connect to AMS-IX directly at the colocations where we have a presence. Just follow the steps below.

What do you need to do to join us?

  1. Request an Autonomous System Number (ASN) from a Local or Regional Internet Registry: RIPE-NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, ARIN.
  2. Fill in the application form.
  3. Once your application form is submitted, log in to our user portal and order a connection under the ‘Connections’ tab

Connect remotely at one of our EasyAccess locations

You can also connect to AMS-IX remotely from 200+ locations in Europe. We will take care of the IP transport for you.

What happens once you have placed your order?

  1. We will send you a contract.
  2. Upon receipt of the signed contract, we will provide you with the demarcation/assignment details of your port. With these, you will be able to request a cross connect (if applicable).
  3. You will also receive the IP address and instructions to configure your equipment correctly.
  4. Once you have completed the configuration (and, if applicable, the cross connect is connected), please contact our NOC team. They will help you test the connection and bring it into production.

Connect remotely via a partner

Last but not least, you can connect to AMS-IX from 500+ locations worldwide via one of our partners.

Are you not located at any of our colocations?

No problem! You can connect to AMS-IX remotely via our partner United Telecommunication Services (UTS) N.V.
