Joining AMS-IX gives you the opportunity to connect to a multitude of networks and improve your network performance.
Connecting to AMS-IX is easy, just choose the path that is right for you.
Are you located at one of our colocations?
Then you can connect to AMS-IX directly.
All you need to do to join us is:
- Own an ASN. If you don't have an ASN, you can request one at your Local or Regional Internet Registry: RIPE-NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, ARIN.
- Fill in the application form
- Once your application form is submitted, log in to our user portal and order a connection under the ‘Connections’ tab.
What happens once you have placed your order?
- We will send you a contract.
- Upon receipt of the signed contract, we will provide you with the demarcation/assignment details of your port. With these, you will be able to request a cross connect (if applicable). You will also receive the IP address and instructions to configure your equipment correctly.
- Once you have completed the configuration (and, if applicable, the cross connect is connected), please contact our NOC team. They will help you test the connection and bring it into production.

No problem! You can connect to AMS-IX remotely via our partner UTS.
