"With a passion for developing teams and individuals I joined AMS-IX in February 2018 to help accelerate the execution of the strategy and quickly felt at home with a team of professionals proudly serving the Internet community as one of the leading Internet Exchanges. The world around us is changing at an ever increasing pace - 'the only constant is change' – and the Internet is at the heart of it all. At AMS-IX we are working hard to embrace the high pace of technology developments to continuously create value for our members and customers while keeping a keen eye on the human element of change. Personally, I am interested in how technology can help solve issues and problems, both in business and real life and am constantly looking for ways to bridge the inevitable gap between the tech team and the ultimate users of the technology."

Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
“AMS-IX and I go way back. Officially, I joined the technical team in 2001, but I have been involved with the association as a board member since the very beginning. Year after year, I watched this small association grow and become an international leader. I am very proud of what we have accomplished. After more than 20 years, we continue to focus on improving our platforms and services. I think most people see me as a rational person only focused on technical aspects, and although in a way it’s true - I am a no-nonsense kind of guy – deep down what I value the most here, are the people I work with.”
Iris Vonk
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Iris started her career in 1995 as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and subsequently held several senior financial management positions in the media and entertainment industry in the Netherlands and the UK. Prior to joining AMS-IX, Iris worked for 5 years as the CFO at Platform 161 B.V. Iris says: “AMS-IX operates in a rapidly changing environment and I look forward to work with a team of proud professionals and support them in delivering the company’s growth objectives.”
Mike Baron
Senior Director Sales & Marketing
At CGI, Mike held several positions since 2004. Mike has a Technical Software Engineering and IT consultancy background which enables him to easily relate to both Information Technology and Technical Infrastructure topics. Mike held the position of Director Consulting Services at CGI Group Inc before joining AMS-IX. He says: “It’s an exciting time to work for AMS-IX. The worlds of Business, IT and connectivity are merging rapidly. I am excited to start and execute the commercial part of the long term strategy of AMS-IX.”

Tim Vriend
"In 2014, I joined the AMS-IX family as Installation Engineer within the Technical team, bringing in 10 years of experience in data centres, hardware & cabling installations and project management. Within my first 5 years at AMS-IX, I have been promoted to Project Coordinator, Team-leader Engineering and since May 2019 I have the shiny new title of Manager Delivery & Operations".
