Leading Internet Exchange AMS-IX, together with HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC), a fully-fledged ICT service provider and network operator with extensive global coverage, and International Gateway Company Limited (IGC), a neutral regional telecommunication and network service provider, are happy to announce that AMS-IX Bangkok is live and ready for operations.

HGC and AMS-IX start new Internet Exchange in Manila
HGC and AMS-IX today announce the launch of a new Internet Exchange in Manila, the Philippines. The new Internet Exchange was officially celebrated during the 10th anniversary festivities of AMS-IX Hong Kong, in the presence of the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hong Kong and Macao and representative from the Office of the Communications Authority.

Dutch Gaia-x hub builds Gaia-x test environment
AMS-IX, together with other members of the Dutch Gaia-x hub, TNO, BIT, Intermax, Info Support and Surf, are building a national Gaia-x test environment. Cloud suppliers can investigate what they have to do to comply with Gaia-X cloud standards, specs and rules. The new test environment will be fully operational as of May this year.

AMS-IX and HGC 10 year anniversary
10 Years ago, AMS-IX and HGC started their first Internet Exchange together to improve the quality of the Internet in Hong Kong. Today we’re celebrating that we’re connecting over a hundred ASNs via Internet Exchanges in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Chicago and San Jose (AMS-IX Bay Area). And there are more to come!

AMS-IX launches Data Centre Interconnect
AMS-IX, one of the largest interconnection platforms in the world, has launched a new Data Centre Interconnect service for its customers. The new service enables customers to use the AMS-IX Amsterdam platform to privately move data from one AMS-IX Point of Presence (PoP) to another, allowing them to benefit from enhanced network performance and secure and reliable connections.

2022 facts and figures: Internet traffic in Amsterdam continues to grow. The total volume of data exchanged at the Amsterdam Internet Exchange has risen to 29.39 EB in 2022.
