How to connect US

How to connect

There are two simple ways to connect to AMS-IX.

Connect via HGC

You can connect to AMS-IX via HGC at any of the locations where we have a presence. Just follow the easy steps below.

What do you need to do to join us?

  1. Request an Autonomous System Number (ASN) from a Local or Regional Internet Registry: RIPE-NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, ARIN.
  2. Contact HGC and sign a contract.

What happens once you have signed the contract?

  1. HGC will submit an application and connection order form via our customer portal.
  2. We will provide you with the demarcation/assignment details of your connection. With these, you will be able to request a cross connect (if applicable). You will also receive the IP address and instructions to configure your equipment correctly.
  3. Once you have completed the configuration (and, if applicable, the cross connect is connected), please contact AMS-IX US NOC. We will help you test the connection and bring it into production.

Connect via Megaport

You can also connect to AMS-IX via Megaport at any location where they have a presence. Just follow the easy steps below.

What do you need to do to join us via Megaport?

  1. Sign up for an account / Sign in at megaport.al
  2. Create a megaport in one of the locations already enabled
  3. Add a virtual cross connect to AMS-IX and have that deployed in 59 seconds
