Account Manager

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our sales team. In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners to ensure business continuation and growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and execute account management activities
  • Take part in the development, implementation and execution of account plans
  • Build a strategy for each key account
  • Pro-actively initiate sales activities and realise new revenue from existing customer base
  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for key accounts
  • Call and visit key customers on a regular basis
  • Represent AMS-IX at key industry events worldwide
  • Initiate and build business relationships with existing customers, with a focus on expanding business within the existing customer base of ISP’s, telco’s, content providers, hosting providers, social media and other Internet related companies,
  • Develop the business around new services e.g. cloud connectivity,
  • Collaborate with AMS-IX Marketing team to develop sales and customers communication materials
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Product teams for new products and services
  • Work with other departments to enable smooth operations of all customer interaction, such as customer administration, back-office and customer service aspects, as well as invoicing and technical operations
  • Facilitate the development and provide input with regards to the need for sales tools, techniques and systems (i.e. CRM)
  • Report to the Sales Director on a/o plans, churn, pipeline and progress

Profile

  • 5 to 7 years experience in a commercial role in an ICT or technical environment
  • Minimum bachelor graduate (HBO+), either a business/economic or technically relevant study (in the latter case demonstrated sales experience is key)
  • Demonstrated successful experience in commercial relationship management and increasing sales results
  • Understanding of Internet Networks, Mobile networks and (wholesale) IP infrastructure
  • Experience with the cloud market is a plus
  • A network of relevant contacts within the Internet/mobile industry is a big plus
  • Experience with CRM systems and most notably Salesforce
  • Ability to work independently with a strong customer focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiastic team-player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to express and understand complex issues both verbally and in writing in English is a must
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus

Application Manager

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Application Manager to provide technical support to SalesForce, FinancialForce and Coupa users (with possible expansion of systems in the future). In this job, you will focus on promoting adoption, keep track of new releases and solutions and perform updates, i.e. add/delete users or functionality, add and maintain access profiles, workflows and custom fields etc. You will also act as a backup for the Office IT support engineer.

HR Manager

Job description

We are looking for an energetic HR Manager to help us transform our HR processes and support our future growth. Together with the management team you will build a roadmap to create a strong employee experience that engages and attracts talent. In this position you report directly to the CEO. You will provide strategic, tactical and operational HR support to the management team and lead the HR department to ensure that the business can focus on the daily operations.

Interconnection Specialist

Job description

Network Engineer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre (NOC). As part of our technical team, you will work on the day-to-day operations of the Ethernet switching platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement solutions for new services
  • Implement solutions for platform extensions and upgrades
  • Provide second-line support to our customers worldwide, as part of our on-call rotation schedule

Profil

  • A sound IT background, specifically in the area of networking
  • Experience with the management of MPLS/VPLS, Ethernet, and IP networks, and understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects and protocols that are required to build and maintain these networks
  • Knowledge of VxLAN/eVPN is a big plus
  • Experience with configuring BGP and a good understanding of routing protocols
  • Experience with detailed technical documentation
  • Good insight in the structure and relations that make up the internet
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environment
  • Experience with creating automation scripts, preferably using bash and python
  • Scripting experience in Perl is a plus
