About this event
The 4Daagse is one of the world’s biggest walking events. Every year, tens of thousands of people come to Nijmegen to walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometres a day, for four days in a row. It is a huge physical challenge, and a great way to support causes they care about. This year, our very own Eddie and Nick are taking on that challenge to raise funds for the NLnet foundation.
Walking for an open Internet
At AMS-IX, we believe in an open, neutral and resilient internet. But the internet does not stay open by itself. It depends on people, communities and organisations who work every day to keep it secure, accessible and built on open standards.
NLnet supports people and projects that contribute to an open internet for everyone. From safer email and secure video calls to private messaging and open internet standards, their work helps strengthen the internet from the ground up. For us, this cause feels close to home. The open internet connects people, ideas and communities across the world, and we want to help keep it that way.
