27 May
On May 28th, AMS-IX hosted its first-ever Partner Day, bringing together key players from the IX-as-a-Service (IXaaS) sector. This special event focused on the future of Internet exchanges and peering, featuring insights from notable partners: Batelco, Batelco, Wingu, Alliance Networks, HGC, AWASR and Telecom Egypt.
Discussing the Future of Internet Exchanges
The day was filled with discussions about how Internet exchanges are changing and what the future might hold. Topics included how peering is becoming more important as the world becomes more digital, and the new solutions IXaaS partners are developing to keep up with these changes.
Planning for the Future
The AMS-IX team, in collaboration with Rob Adams from Sixfingers, presented various scenarios for the future of Internet exchanges. These scenarios considered changes in technology, economics, and regulations. The event allowed partners to discuss their thoughts and strategies for dealing with these potential future changes. The highlight of the day was the interactive sessions where partners had the opportunity to express their viewpoints on the presented scenarios.
The first AMS-IX Partner Day was a great success. It encouraged collaboration and forward-thinking among IXaaS partners. The event provided a platform for sharing ideas and strategies, helping shape the future of Internet exchanges. As AMS-IX and its partners continue to navigate the evolving landscape of peering, the knowledge and cooperation from this event will be essential in building a strong and efficient digital future.
