During the spring 2010 strategy workshops with the AMS-IX MT and Board, the AMS-IX strategic charter was renewed thoroughly. A number of elements will be familiar, but you will find that to be able to keep adding and creating value for all stakeholders, the ambition has broadened.

1. To realize the principal, neutral IP interconnection marketplace worldwide
2. To offer world-class quality performance and operate a future proof platform to secure the growth of IP traffic between connected parties
3. Support initiatives for the good of the Internet to ultimately improve end-user experience

[1] IP Interconnection should read as IP Interconnection between 2 or more independent parties, not offering the interconnection of several entities belonging to one group. As an example, not the IP traffic to be exchanged between affiliates of a holding but rather between the holding and its separate industry partners.
