The AMS-IX Charter
The Articles of the Association as well as the limited Company both state that the main objective of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange is:
- To facilitate the exchange of Internet traffic and everything that contributes hereto in the broadest sense of the word
The vision, mission and values that were developed, first in 2003, are the following:

- Develop and expand the high credited value as renowned IXP
Mission
- Continuously increase the value of the IXP while preserving our members’ interests and ensuring continuity by providing professional services, increasing the number of qualifying participants and facilitate traffic growth using technological innovation.
- Enabling Internet progress by aligning our name, stature and expertise to further projects for the good of the Internet
