Video Working Group
In a front-running market with high broadband penetration, second only to Korea, the (Dutch) access providers/ISPs and content providers/broadcasters are finding ways to efficiently interconnect to one another to enhance the end-user multimedia experience. Everyone wants the end-user to have the best user experience that is technically and financially feasible. Especially the latter is an increasing challenge. Apart from other interesting challenges (e.g. DRM), AMS-IX is facilitating both groups in getting together and discuss potential distribution options.
The AMS-IX Video Working Group is the platform for this discussion. The video-WG was started after GM20 were the outcome of the workshop "Streaming: Whats next?" was debriefed. Further a mailing list video-l@ams-ix.net has been set-up that we invite people to subscribe to via http://melix.ams-ix.net/mailman/listinfo/video-l to exchange opinions and give feedback.
