Step 3. Co-location Agreement

AMS-IX offers you a choice of multiple datacenters providing co-location services where we have access switches to the peering platform. Each one offers their own unique set of services against their own conditions and prices. AMS-IX carefully selected these co-locations to reflect the neutrality of the exchange and give members a variety of choices. They are all carrier neutral and independent of AMS-IX itself.

During the application process we will check with the colocation of your choice if you have an agreement with them or if you are otherwise known to them through a partner/carrier before we will enable your port at their facility

So you must either arrange a contract with the co-location of your choice to place equipment locally or if your equipment is physically located at another location and a third party is providing you with connection services to one of our co-locations then they will have to announce you to that co-location. This third party or your carrier must have an agreement with the datacenter/co-location for connecting and arranging local cross-connects at their site, covering this condition. However please note it is your responsibility to make sure the third party announces you and orders the local cross-connect to the AMS-IX patch panel in order to have a positive check during the application process.

Please take a look at all the co-locations details to see which best suits your needs and make contact with your chosen location(s) via the contact details provided.
