Step 1 for connecting to AMS-IX

  1. You must be a recognised legal entity.

  2. You must have an ASN (Autonomous System Number).

The Applicant must have their own ASN assigned by a Regional Internet Registry, being either; RIPE-NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, ARIN or by a Local Internet Registry.

  3. The primary function of your business must be internet related.

  4. You must have the intention to and be willing to sign the AMS-IX Connection Agreement: (Version A2000 in Word) or (Version A2000 in .pdf).
The AMS-IX Connection Agreement was modified in 2000 and is standard for all AMS-IX members.

  5. You must have an agreement with your chosen co-location.
Important You must close a contract with the co-location of your choice before we will enable your port at their facility. This rule always applies, even if your equipment is physically located at another location and a third party is providing you with connection services to the housing locations.

This third party or your carrier may have a collective agreement with the Housing Location, covering this condition. This is your responsibility.

Please take a look at the co-locations to see which co-location best suits your needs and make contact with your chosen location(s) via the contact details provided.
