The AMS-IX infrastructure is housed in several datacenters around Amsterdam in secure and controlled environments. At these datacenters, customers can connect to the infrastructure locally by a cross-connect between their equipment and the AMS-IX patch panel. AMS-IX also allows for remote connection through the carriers and transport providers offering services at these sites.
The co-locations themselves are independent of AMS-IX and therefore any issues regarding the housing of equipment at these sites needs to be directed towards the co-locations directly. Note that you must have an agreement with your chosen co-location before you can connect to the AMS-IX network.
